Description
October 12, 1970, a Loud Day in Rochester's History - At the hands of the mafia, orchestrated by Frank Valenti, bombs are detonated at two churches, the Monroe County Office Building, City Hall, the U. S. Courthouse and Federal Building, and at the home of a union official. Ironically, this is to take the heat and publicity off local activities. It works. Police focus on radical groups, Vietnam War protestors, and militants. Happy with the success of these bombings, three weeks later the mafia then sets off six more. This attacking three synagogues, a Black Islamic mosque, a Black Baptist church, and the home of a county court judge. Information on the Rochester Mafia Family (not for research)
