Frederick_Law_Olmsted was a highly influential landscape architect and park planner whose work is especially evident in Buffalo and New York City. In Rochester he had a hand in the development of Genesee Valley Park, Highland Park, Seneca Park and Washington Square Park in the 1890s. He also participated in the development of Maplewood Park.
