Description: The Gates Historical Society preserves the historical records and artifacts of the Town of Gates. It has its offices in the Hinchey Historical House & Park and manages the park for the Parks Department. The 1870's Italianate house is the only structure in the town listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The society holds public meetings at the Gates Town Hall Annex on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00PM to 8:45PM. They are open to the public and the schedule of topics is listed on their website.
