Honor Flight

Civic

Honor Flight is a non-profit group dedicated to giving free transport to "our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill." The World War II veterans are taken for a visit to the National_World_War_II_Memorial. From their Website: "Our urgent objective is to accommodate local WWII veterans who otherwise would never visit their own memorial.

Honor Flight is our way of paying a small tribute to those who gave so much to us – everything we have today – our very way of life. As one observer put it, "They were all just kids. And all they did was... save the world." 1 See: Donation Page WW II Memorial website D&C Article June 6 2010 YouTube.com Video Sep 2009
