Community Composting offers curbside pickup for compost. They serve most of the City of Rochester and some of the neighboring suburbs. For a map of the service area, please visit the website. Upon signing up, customers receive a 4-gallon green bin that they then fill with their food scraps.
Bins are serviced on a weekly or biweekly schedule and cleaned on the spot. In the Spring, customers receive one distribution of finished compost. Community Composting was founded in 2013 by the owners of Smoothstone Design.
