- Darienne Lake is the stage name of a local drag queen with national recognition. She has appeared on The Ricki Lake Show ("You're Too Fat to be a Drag Queen," 1993) and the 2003 VH1 documentary Boys Will Be Girls. More recently, in 2014, she has was a contestant on the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, having won the fan vote to be featured. Darienne has been performing in Rochester since 1990. Locally, she stars in "Facelift Fridays" at 140 Alex Bar & Grill and works as a stylist at the Thomas Laurence Salon. Her name is derived from regional attraction Darien Lake.
