BACKGROUND According to Wikipedia, Ginna Nuclear Power Plant is "one of the oldest nuclear power reactors still in operation in the United States, having gone into commercial operation in 1970." Rochester Gas & Electric owned and operated Ginna until 2004, when it sold the station to Constellation Energy. IMPACT Portions of Monroe County, specifically sections of Webster, are within the 10 mile emergency response radius of the Nuclear Plant.

People living within this area should be aware of their specific evacuation route and destination in case of an emergency.
