Description: The Holiday Inn - Marketplace (aka Holiday Inn & Suites Rochester - Marketplace) is a hotel located on the busy Jefferson Road strip in Henrietta, not far from the The Marketplace Mall. Their on-site dining is in the Marketplace Grill which offers complimentary breakfast and dinner to many hotel guests. Many other dining options are available near-by. This hotel opened in May 2007. It was formally a Ramada Inn that housed a restaurant called the Barnstormer, which was known for having a fake plane crashing into the building. The hotel was part of a recent controversy because funds and tax incentives were given to update the building by COMIDA but the owner did not use local labor for the job. COMIDA pulled the funding and incentives until the owner could prove only local labor was to be used. This set the project back a few months.
