Neighborhood

I'm Jason Olshefsky. I moved to Rochester to go to RIT in 1988. When I graduated in 1993 I took jobs in the area and have been living here ever since. I bought a house in the Upper Mount Hope Neighborhood in 1998.

In 2004 I went to Burning Man for the first time. In 2005, I brought a project called the Bike With 2 Brains which is a 2-person vehicle to foster social interaction. I update the website as I get things done. I'm also the author of JayceLand.

It's a weekly events page that I started in 1999. I update it each Thursday with an essay/journal/blog and a list of events coming up in the week. It's really only for me — I do it to figure out what's going on in town so I don't miss anything ... either that, or I go do all sorts of things to justify writing the website. I'm also a photographer, although I haven't done much in a while.

You can see some of my images at Jason Olshefsky Photography. If I missed anything, there's also my Other Projects page where I list all the things I've been working on.
