Jonelle Maira is a local jewelry designer. The business began in NYC in 2003 and followed her home to Rochester in 2008. Jonelle Maira's line is eco-friendly. Each piece is made from a combination of vintage and re-purposed chains and materials and then combined with natural elements such as bone, wood, leather, cotton, semi-precious stones and minerals.
She is influenced by geometry and the repetition of patterns paired with Native American imagery and tribal silhouettes. Each piece is made from carefully selected vintage and reclaimed materials. Everything is handmade. The jewelry can be purchased online or in person at one of the local markets around town.
