Relay for Life is an international charity event that benefits local cancer research. In the United States and more specifically Rochester, it is overseen by the American Cancer Society. Each event generally starts at 6PM with an Opening Ceremony and brief remarks from the organizational committee. Participants then walk through the night, taking breaks as they see fit.

There is live music, tons of food and other activities available. Children are encouraged and welcome as long as they have supervision.
